Welcome...

Welcome to the Life In Myrtle Beach blog where we hope to provide a wealth of information for you, whether you will be vacationing in Myrtle Beach, making this your second home location or moving to the area and becoming a "local" yourself. Feel free to ask any questions you have and if I don't know the answer...I'll find it for you!

Being a Realtor, I'll have plenty of Real Estate news to discuss, whether on the local, state or national level...I feel this is an important part of any person's decisionmaking process when considering a move or a purchase in any particular area of the country. However, since I don't want to bore you with just a bunch of facts, numbers and endless listings of properties for sale, I do hope you enjoy the "fun stuff" I'll share, too!

Be sure to leave your thoughts and comments at the bottom of my posts and feel free to sign up with your email in the left column for blog updates. If you have a Gmail account or Yahoo, please sign up to be a member! I look forward to getting to know you!

Banker vs. Broker...

In the past 12-18 months, have you gone to your banker to obtain a mortgage and been denied? Maybe your answer is to talk to a mortgage "broker", who has many more options than your personal banker may have. Granted, going through your bank does have its own benefits, but when you apply through a mortgage broker, they have many avenues to take in order to find a lender who will accept a lower credit score or higher debt to income ratio.
If you would like to speak with a mortgage broker, we would highly recommend John Faiella with First Trust Mortgage, out of Pawley's Island. We have worked with John for quite some time and are very impressed with his dedication to his clients. If you would just like to have questions answered, but maybe not ready to put in an application, he is always willing to speak to you and help you get on the right track to home ownership!

When considering purchasing a home, whether you would like to work with a banker OR broker is always the first step you should take before shopping for your next home. If there is anything we can do to help make the process easier, we'll be happy to help!
